World's Greatest Brother--Jeremiah

There are a lot of things that makes a person great--talent, courage, intelligence, compassion, but most of all kindness.
My brother, Jeremiah is kind. As Joseph B. Wirthlin once said, "kindness is the essence of greatness!"

Here is a You-Tube Pleasant Grove Football Highlight Video of my oldest brother, Jeremiah Evans. He is a stud with a rocket for an arm. Not only is he a talented football player, he is a great guy off the field as well.

Checked Out

I think when I said I'd write on this blog everyday, I was aiming big and missing big. But I think I have done pretty well-- once a week or two weeks is appropriate. Today, I was in Choir taking a test. Since I moved to my new school, I've been called down to the office to retrieve things or get checked out at least once a week. Shockingly, in the middle of the test, I was called to the office to get checked out for an ortho appointment. "Yeah!" getting out of school, not "Yeah" going to have my teeth worked on.

At the orthodontist, I was supposed to get a "spacer" but turns out I don't need one. Instead they put little rubber bands in between my teeth. It hurt a ton! At my next appointment in two weeks, I will get braces. "Yeah", hopefully I won't look ridiculous or not be able to enunciate my words! I just found a new word, Pulchritudinous. It's an adjective, the noun would be pulchritude. Pulchritudinous means beautiful or physically attractive. I love learning new big and sophisticated words! My favorite subject in school is English. I love writing and reading immensely! Well, I think that is enough for today. Au revoir!

New Town

January 18th, 2012

Today was my first day at my new school, Spanish Fork Jr. High. When I walked in I went to the counseling office to get my schedul. I had to change my 1st period twice and once the night before. This confusion took all of first period. As I went through each of my periods, each one was a blur. There are so many students and so many names to memorize. In most of my classes, the kids are friendly and very welcoming. Other classes are not that way. I try to be "outgoing" and get to know all the kids. Most already have their own "groups" and are content with the number of people in it and are not about to open a spot up for "the new girl".

I keep thinking that this is all just temporary. Like I'm in my grandma's ward visiting and that soon, I will be back in my own ward and old school. As the days turn into weeks, and the weeks turn into months, only then am I starting to realize.......I won't be going back. I am usually an outgoing person. Very content and happy. But this move has turned me into more of a solemn, quiet person.

The outgoing girl is still there-- findable, but it's not as easy to find her anymore. It's a relief moving when back home you've been bullied and abused by your own church members and neighbors--which is unfortunately the case with several of my family members. Yet it is not the case with me, so I am sad, but I am happy for my family, who like it, but I have to say....it hasn't been the easiest thing for me. I know I am here now and will do what I'm supposed to do what my parents expect, but I suppose I'm not liking it as much as they are. But I will stick it through.

New Year--2012

January 16th, 2012

For the year 2012, I have decided to use this blog as a type of journal to put down some of my thoughts and experiences.  My goal is to create an entry each day, filling this blog with my thoughts, feelings, dreams, and desires. It is already January 16th but I don't think that requires me to wait until 2013 to start this resolution.

Currently, I have just transferred from Lakeridge Jr. High to Spanish Fork Jr. High, and can say I was not pleased with the idea. I had just gotten started there, a.k.a. (just learned everyone's names and my way around) and had grown fond of the school and kids. My Best friend there was a great support! I will miss her dearly. Our family is also relocating to a different abode in Spanish Fork. I will also have to say good-bye to my ward and friends in Provo.

On the 24th of January I will be turning 13! I am so giddy with excitement. At first, I planned to have a Savvy birthday party, based on the book Savvy, by Ingrid law. Which I have to say is absolutely thrilling! Yet, some of the activities we had planned that pertained to the book we were unable to carry out. In it's stead we decided to head to the "River Woods" to the "Provo Beach Resort" and enjoy the Ropes Course, and Lazer Frenzy there. My older sister Madi and her friends went there and had a blast. I am very excited to go!

A few of the goals that I have for this year are the following:

1. Read one chapter a night in the "Book Of Mormon"
2. Treat others-my family especially-kinder
3. Attend the temple at least once a month (preferably 3-2 times a month)
4. Attain all A's this year in school
5. Be kind to those who are alone, excluded, or new, and make 2 new friends this new term at Spanish Fork Jr. High!

 Until tomorrow.
